Montréal commémorera l'arrivée des premiers Libanais sur son territoire par une ‎œuvre d'art public de Gilles Mihalcean

‎Montréal, le 20 novembre 2009 — Alors que l'indépendance du Liban s'apprête à être célébrée au ‎cours du week-end un peu partout dans la métropole, le maire de Montréal, M. Gérald Tremblay, ‎et la responsable de la culture au comité exécutif, Mme Helen Fotopulos, sont heureux ‎d'annoncer que la Ville soulignera le 125e anniversaire de l'arrivée en sol montréalais du premier ‎contingent de Libanais en provenance du territoire du Liban actuel. Cet hommage prendra la ‎forme d'une œuvre d'art, intitulée Daleth, dont la réalisation a été confiée à M. Gilles Mihalcean, ‎artiste émérite en arts visuels. L'œuvre sera déposée au printemps prochain dans le parc ‎Marcelin-Wilson de l'arrondissement d'Ahuntsic-Cartierville. ‎

The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon, in cooperation with the United Nations ‎Information Centre (UNIC) in Beirut, organized a ceremony on 23 October 2009, to mark ‎the UN Day and later in the day a reception was held by the UN Special Coordinator for ‎Lebanon Michael Williams to celebrate the occasion. ‎

The UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Office of the UN Special Coordinator ‎for Lebanon (UNSCOL) and the Irish-Lebanese Cultural Foundation participated in the ‎Kaslik event, which was also held under the auspices of the Information Minister Tarek ‎Mitri. The ceremony was attended by Mitri, senior clergymen, representatives from UN ‎agencies in Lebanon, diplomats and a number of students. ‎

The Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation recognized by Volunteering Ireland on Thursday the 5th ‎of November at the Historical Royal Kilmainham in Dublin, Ireland.  ‎

President of Ireland, Mrs Mary McAlisse handed the Chairman of the Irish Lebanese Cultural ‎Foundation Guy Younes with the recognition certificate for the arts and Culture category. ‎

Mr Younes founded the Cultural organization in 2001 and is an accomplished promoter and ‎lecturer on Lebanese Culture in Ireland.‎

إحتفالاً بالذكرى السادسة والستين للإستقلال... وتأكيداً على ثوابتها الوطنية الداعمة لوحدة وحرية ‏وإستقلال لبنان... وفي أجواء لبنانية عريقة، خيمت فوقها أرزة لبنانية عاتية لا تهزها الرياح ولا الأعاصير، ‏ورفرف خلالها رمز الوطن العلم اللبناني الخالد، وعبق فيها أريج الولاء لأستراليا ولبنان، والإلتزام الكامل بقضايا ‏الوطن الأم، ودعماً لمشاريعها الحالية والمستقبلية... أقامت الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم في ‏فيكتوريا، مهرجاناً حاشداً، تميز بكثافة الحضور والتمثيل الأوسترالي الفيدرالي والمحلي حيث شارك فيه ‏شخصيات أوسترالية ولبنانية عديدة.‏

أقامت منطقة حدث الجبة بجميع جمعياتها وفعالياتها الاجتماعية حفلاً تكريمياً للمغترب الشيخ عيد ‏الشدراوي، لمناسبة إنتخابه رئيساً عالمياً للجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم، حيث رُفعت اليافطات ‏والأعلام اللبنانية المهنئة بإنتخابه، وأُعد له إستقبال حاشد وأنزل الشدراوي عند مدخل البلدة وعزفت ‏موسيقى حدث الجبة، ووسط قرع الطبول وأجراس الكنائس ونثر الأرز والورود  إنطلق الشدراوي وعقيلته ‏السيدة هيفا وسط الحشود بعد إلباسهم العباءة العربية والطربوش اللبناني يتقدمهم فرقة السيف والترس ‏وصولاً إلى باحة كنيسة مار دانيال الأثرية، وأقيم بالمناسبة قداس إحتفالي ترأسه كاهن الرعية الخوري ‏حبيب صعب الذي هنأ في كلمة له بعد الإنجيل أهالي البلدة ولبنان بإنتخاب الشدراوي رئيساً للجامعة، ‏منّوهاً بمسيرته ونضاله في بلاد الإغتراب. ‏

La fundación de Cartago por la reina Didón de Tiro en el año 814 A.c. ‎aproximadamente, la colonización de parte del Norte de África, España, Sicilia son ‎pruebas irrefutables de una vocación globalizadora que nace en los albores de la historia ‎de la humanidad. ‎

Durant la même semaine, nous avons assisté en France à l'ouverture d'un vaste chantier ‎sur l'identité nationale, souhaité par plus de 60 % des Français et qui déjà déchaîne des ‎passions dans les médias et dans plus de 350 préfectures, sans toutefois que les contours ‎du débat soient définis et à la disparition du père de l'anthropologie moderne Claude ‎Lévi-Strauss (1908-2009), inventeur du structuralisme.
